FOUR 16-year-old boys have been tagged as the suspects in the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl Tuesday evening, November 27, in Talisayan.

Police said the suspects and the girl were drinking alcohol Tuesday. The boys allegedly took advantage of the girl when she became drunk.

Superintendent Surki Serenas, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10), said the medical examination of the victim showed that she was raped.

Serenas also said there were no signs that the victim struggled during the incident.

"Ang pagpa-check sa family sa ilang anak is a prelude to filing a case nga interested sila mokaso batok sa mga suspects bisan og minors," Serenas said.

"Walay sign nga nag-struggle ang victim. Nag take advantage ang mga suspects sa kahubog sa biktima," he added.

Prior to the incident, police said the girl asked for her father’s permission to do her assignment at the house of one of the suspects at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

At 7 p.m. of the same day, the father received a call asking him to pick up his daughter from the suspect’s house because she was drunk.

At home, the mother noticed that the girl’s undergarment was missing, prompting her to have the girl checked at the hospital.
