87 new Covid-19 cases in Oro over the weekend

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop, while the city recorded 87 new cases over the weekend.

The cumulative confirmed cases in the city have reached 19,386.

The City Health Office said that among the 87 local cases, 40 were local index cases, 33 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, nine were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), four were Apors with link, and one mortality.

Likewise, the active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 3,405, of which 568 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,819 were outpatients, and 18 were ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered an increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered."

Over the weekend, the city recorded 197 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 15,158.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 823.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinees who tested positive for the virus in Cagayan de Oro has reached 4,691, the City Health Office reported.

It added that of the 4,691 vaccinees, 2,923 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 882 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 309 with Pfizer, 276 were vaccinated with Sputnik V, 276 were vaccinated with Janssen, 19 were vaccinated with Moderna, and six were vaccinated with Sinopharm.
