9 nabbed in Bugo drug busts

AT LEAST nine suspected drug personalities were arrested in a simultaneous drug raid launched by the agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Northern Mindanao- Northern Mindanao in Barangay Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City, Monday night, February 11.

Armed with search warrants for violations of the drug law, anti-narcotics agents swooped down and searched the houses of the targets identified as Maarnie Japitana, resident of Lower Bugo and Rowel Lanuza of Bantiles, Bugo, this city.

Also arrested were Japitana's four companions identified as Gregg Boco, Christian Ycong, Aj Ralph Boco, and Larry Toyong.

PDEA-Northern Mindanao agents seized five sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth around P68,000 and other drug paraphernalia.

On the other hand, Lanuza's cohorts were also nabbed identified as Kristine Saracanlao, Noel Valde, and Rey Mabasag.

Authorities confiscated another 13 sachets of suspected shabu worth around P68,000 and other drug paraphernalia.

PDEA-Northern Mindanao spokesperson Rosemarie Bajao said the two targets are target-listed in the drug trade while the rest were watch-listed.

Arrested suspects were now detained at the PDEA-Northern Mindanao detention facility and will face charges for possession of illicit drugs.
