Active Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro now at 572

THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro has reached 572.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, May 3, the City Health Office recorded 56 new cases, 25 of which are local cases with link, six are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 23 are local index cases, and two deaths.

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 5,057.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 5,057 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 437 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 4,620 cases were local transmissions.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, was composed of 142 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 427 outpatients, and three ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 20 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 4,265, with an 84.33 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 310 were LSIs, 122 were ROFs, and 3,833 were local cases (community: 3,257; Apors: 576).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 220.
