Body found in Bayabas shores

A 74-YEAR-OLD man, who was believed to have drowned, was found floating lifeless off the shore of Barangay Bayabas, Cagayan de Oro City around 8:55 a.m. Thursday, August 29.

Police identified the fatality as Julieto Regodon Sr., resident of Zone 8, Kiraba, Barangay Bayabas. The body was found without any upper garments.

Investigators said a witness saw Regodon swimming in the beach around 7 a.m.

"Ingon sa tagtungod, naay paralyze daw nga portion sa lawas na siya. Unya basin nakaabot sa lawom nga bahin og wala na ka-recover," said Major Ian Borinaga, Police Station 4 commander.

Borinaga said there was no foul play, but added that they are still investigating the incident. (Alwen Saliring)
