ELEVEN new confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases were added to the number of confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro on Monday, July 6, 2020, bringing the total count to 70.

All of them are asymptomatic locally stranded individuals (LSIs), who were immediately brought to the city isolation units upon arrival, City Health Office Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya said.

The 60th case is a 32-year-old female LSI from Quezon City and a resident of Calaanan. She arrived at Laguindingan Airport on June 23.

The 61st case is a 27-year-old male LSI from Manila and a resident of a numbered barangay in Cagayan de Oro.

The 62nd case is a 24-year-old male LSI from Valenzuela and a resident of Calaanan. He arrived in Cagayan de Oro on June 27.

Retuya said they have already identified five close contacts of the man, four of whom are from Valenzuela who are, at present, undergoing home quarantine.

The 63rd case is a 53-year-old male LSI from Iloilo and resident of Barangay Bugo. He arrived in the city on July 2.

The 64th case is a 19-year-old female LSI from San Juan and a resident of Barangay Indahag. She arrived in the city on June 24 via sea travel.

The 65th case is a one-year-old female LSI from Dumaguete and a resident of Barangay Patag. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro on June 24 via sea travel together with her family. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility together with her mother and father.

The 66th case is a 22-year-old male LSI from Pasig City and a resident of a numbered barangay. He arrived in Cagayan de Oro on June 28.

The 67th case is a 27-year-old male LSI from Taguig and a resident of Barangay Bugo. He at the Laguindingan Airport on June 25.

The 68th case is a 25-year-old male LSI from Manila and a resident of Upper Balulang.

The 69th case is a 48-year-old female LSI from Manila and a resident of Barangay Indahag. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro on June 28 via sea travel.

The 70th case is a 26-year-old female LSI from Manila and a resident of Calaanan. She arrived in the city via sea travel on June 27.

Retuya said all of the 11 confirmed patients are due to be transferred from the city isolation units to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

Emergency Operations Center head Dr. Lorraine Nery said out of the 70 total confirmed cases in the city, 70 percent or 49 of them are ROF and LSIs.
