Alwen Saliring

AT LEAST 48 villages in Cagayan de Oro City will experience seven-hour water service interruption on Wednesday, March 27, the Cagayan de Water District (COWD) announced over the weekend.

In an advisory, the city’s water service provider said COWD and the Cagayan de Oro Bulkwater Inc. (COBI) will jointly conduct adjustment of distribution system of COWD-COBI east pipeline.

The activity may cause temporary water service interruption (low pressure) and turbidity of water to customers residing in affected areas.

The interruption time will start at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Affected areas include barangays 1-40 (Poblacion), Macasandig, Nazareth, Camaman-an, Lapasan, parts of Gusa, Puntod, Macabalan and Consolacion.

COWD has advised its concessionaires in affected areas to store water for their consumption during the interruption period.

However, the water district has assured that all efforts will be taken to restore normal water supply the soonest time possible.
