Farm laborer killed, brother wounded in gun attack

A FARM laborer was killed while his younger brother was wounded after they were ambushed by an unidentified assailant in Maramag, Bukidnon, Wednesday night, November 20.

Killed was Joseph Bodiongan, 36, while his brother identified as Jesus Bodiongan, 34, was wounded. They are both residents of barangay Dagumba-an, Maramag town.

Investigation showed that the victims, together with another companion Edgar Cabusas, were walking home when a gunman waylaid and shot them twice.

The elder Bodiongan sustained gunshot wound on his right armpit and died on the spot while the younger brother was hit on the right leg and was rushed to the hospital.

Cabusas was unharmed in the gun attack.

Recovered from the crime scene was a fired bullet of alleged 38 caliber revolver.

Investigators are looking into personal grudge as possible motive of the incident while the investigation is still ongoing.
