Farmer hacked dead by own son

A FARMER was hacked to death by his own son in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon Tuesday night, March 31.

The victim, identified as Alfredo Paelmarin Jr., 69, was hacked by his son identified as Jorry allegedly due to resentment.

Investigators said the suspect has been resenting his father for years as he was frequently hit by his father during his childhood years.

The allegation was corroborated by the suspect's sister, who also said that prior to the incident, the suspect was already planning to kill their father, police added.

The victim sustained 11 hack wounds on the different parts of his body. He was found lifeless inside the shanty of the suspect.

Police seized a 23-inch bolo when they arrested the suspect.

The suspect is now detained and will face charges.
