Guard arrested for shooting man in Bukidnon

A SECURITY guard of a crop producer company was arrested for shooting a 30-year-old man in Lantapan, Bukidnon Monday, February 17.

Police identified the victim as Junnie Omongos, while the suspect was identified as Concheto Contreras, 32, both residents of Alanib, Lantapan town.

Investigators are eyeing personal grudge as motive in the incident.

With the help of a barangay tanod, the suspect was arrested and is now detained, while the victim is receiving treatment in a hospital.

Meanwhile, a laborer was rushed to a hospital after he was stabbed while on his way home in Don Carlos town, Bukidnon.

The victim, identified as Gino Valledor, 18, and his friends were on their way home on board a motorcycle when the group of Rojen Hortillano blocked their way and stabbed the victim using a knife.

After the incident, the suspects fled to unknown direction.

Operatives are now pursing the perpetrators.
