MINORS, seniors, and those under the vulnerable group are now allowed inside malls and shopping centers in Cagayan de Oro.

This, after City Mayor Oscar Moreno approved the new guidelines for minors, vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities on Wednesday, November 11.

However, according to Economic Cluster head lawyer Jose Edgardo Uy, individuals aged 17 and below should be accompanied by their vaccinated parents or guardians.

"Regardless of vaccination status, katong mga 17 paubos pwede mosulod sa malls and shopping centers. But importante nga ubanan sila og adult nga vaccinated," Uy said.

Uy added that while kids can also enter amusement centers and arcades, they are still prohibited from playing video games in internet and pisonet cafes.

As for seniors, people under the vulnerable groups, and persons with disabilities, they are only allowed in malls and shopping centers if they are fully vaccinated.

Uy also mentioned that Barangay Exit Pass is no longer necessary but quick response (QR) codes are still needed for contact tracing purposes.

"Katong atong Barangay Exit Pass, pwede na di nato dad-on. Naa sa atong Alert Level system guidelines, ang movement of persons wala nay restrictions except on age and comorbidities," Uy said.

"Pero kinahanglan gyapon, for contact tracing purposes, naa sila'y QR code. Dili pa gihapon nato kalimtan ang sitwasyon nga naa pa gihapon ang virus. So kinahanglan pa gihapon ang contact tracing system," he added.
