New coronavirus infections in Oro at 17

NEW coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to decline, as the city recorded 17 new cases, bringing the cumulative caseload to 20,056.

Of the 19 new confirmed cases, three were local index cases, eight were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, and six were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).

Cagayan de Oro also recorded a drop in the number of active cases, which is at 689. Of the figure, 208 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 479 were outpatients, and two ROFs/LSIs.

The number of coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered" increased after the city registered 74 new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,531.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city reached 836.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals who tested positive for coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro is now at 5,029.

Of the 5,029 vaccinees, 3,128 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine; 932 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 338 with Pfizer; 296 with Sputnik V; 306 with Janssen; six with Sinopharm; 23 with Moderna.
