THE City Health Office (CHO) has recorded a decline in the number of persons under monitoring (PUMs) in Cagayan de Oro.

CHO Public Health Technical Division head Dr. Claire Azura-Pagunawan said a total of 940 PUMs already completed their 14-day quarantine, while 153 PUMs are still under quarantine.

Pagunawan said they are intensifying their contact tracing of not just those people in contact with patients who have been tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-9), but also those in contact with patients under investigation (PUIs).

"Apil nato i-contact trace ang katong mga PUIs even those with mild symptoms," Pagunawan said.

Meanwhile, the CHO has also identified a total of 32 barangays in the city to put up the isolation units for the 14-day quarantine of PUMs and PUIs with mild symptoms.

Pagunawan also reminded the public to stay at home as the "frontliners are working for everyone's safety."
