Only 5 active cases in Cagayan de Oro

CAGAYAN de Oro's active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases were already below 10, as of May 3, 2022, after the City Health Office logged five active cases.

Of the five active infections in the city, three were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city and two were outpatients.

According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., Cagayan de Oro recorded only one new case, a local index case involving an unvaccinated nine-year-old male from Barangay Camaman-an.

The cumulative number of infections in the city was at 25,841.

The total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro remained at 24,896, while the number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was still at 940, with no new recorded Covid-related death.
