THE Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) vowed to sustain its security measures as the city transitions into modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

Cocpo spokesperson Major Ivan Vinas said station commanders are advised to strengthen their quarantine control points and border control areas.

Vinas also urged motorists to cooperate with the police officers conducting checkpoints in streets.

Vinas said Cocpo Director Henry Dampal also instructed station commanders to personally supervise bank security personnel in their establishments.

"Cocpo will deploy more plain clothes personnel in their AOR (area of responsibility)," he added.

Aside from ensuring peace and order in the city, Vinas said its office is also in close coordination with the City Health Office for the intensified contact tracing in different villages, particularly in Macanhan, Barangay Carmen.

Macanhan records four cases, the most number of cases recorded among all of the barangays in Cagayan de Oro City. (PJO)
