QR code stays for Cagayan de Oro

CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy said the quick response (QR) code for the city stays unless they receive a recommendation from the local Inter-Agency Task Force.

On Friday, October 28, 2022, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. signed Executive Order No. 7, which allows the voluntary wearing of face mask indoors across the country. It also retains the previous policy of voluntary face mask use outdoors.

According to Uy, while he's happy that the possibility of wearing face masks may become optional, it still depends on every person's awareness and sense of responsibility.

Uy further said that if the public feels that they are at risk of contracting Covid-19 or feel its symptoms and are concerned about possibly infecting others, they should wear their face masks.

The city mayor added that the likelihood of contracting the Covid-19 virus remains high, especially during rainy days and weather changes.
