Recovery rate in Cagayan de Oro down at 83.76%

THE City Health Office has noted the continuous rise in the number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro, recording 55 local cases.

The recovery rate has gone down to 83.76 percent after the city registered 17 Covid-19 recoveries, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from the disease to 4,282.

Of the 4,282 recoveries, 310 were locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 122 were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and 3,850 were local cases (community: 3,274; Apors: 576).

As of 10 p.m. of May 4, 52 residents of the city have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, 27 are local cases with link, eight are local persons outside residence (Apors), 19 are local index cases, and one death, according to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery.

The total number of confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro is now at 5,112.

Of the 5,112 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 437 were under the ROFs/LSIs category and 4,675 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 608 active cases, 144 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 461 were outpatients, and three were ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 222.
