XU's Fr. Yap elected as ADMU president

PJ Orias

XAVIER University (XU) head, Fr. Roberto Yap had been elevated as the next president of Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) starting June 1, 2020.

In a university memorandum issued yesterday, Yap said he was elected as the next ADMU president, replacing outgoing ADMU president Fr. Jett Villarin whose term just ended.

Yap assured that he will bring the XU president on board on the planned new campus project.

In his remaining months as president of the Cagayan de Oro-based university, he vowed to continue to prepare and submit reports on the stakeholder consultations in relation to the new campus plan.

The search for the next Xavier Ateneo president will start on September 7 and a new president will be elected a month later.
