AROUND P15,000 in total cash prizes plus trophies and medals will be up for grabs in the Chessmoms CDO Inter-School Invitational Chess Tournament on Saturday (November 9) at Green Lane 2nd Floor of Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City.

Featuring the top elementary and secondary chess players in Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon, Iligan and Misamis Oriental, the day-long rapid tourney will have categories for Grade 1-3 and Grade 4-6 and the premier high school division.

The elementary champions for both Grade 1-3 and Grade 4-6 levels will receive P1,500 and trophy. Second to fourth placer will get P1,000, P700 and P500.

While the rest of the top-10 winners will be given P200 apiece also with medals.

The champion in secondary rivalry will go home P2,000 richer plus trophy with the second up to 4th finisher out to win P1,500, P1,000 and P500 and medals.

Those who will complete the top-10 circle are bound to settle for P200 each.
