CAGAYAN de Oro’s troika of Rodney Opada, Bryan Jose, and Lyndon Lumancas braved the earthquakes-ravaged province of Cotabato and were handsomely rewarded.

The Oro threesome, with Opada strongly performing on board one with a 6 of 7 output, finished runner-up in the 1St Suharto Mangudadato Chess Cup-Tatluhan held November 9 to 10 in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.
