CEBU is seeing a demand for security technology as businesses turn to creating a security system in times of emergencies.

Security solutions provider Hello Marketing noted the increase in demand for security technologies.

“Seeing an increase in demand on secure communications and artificial intelligence (AI)/video analytics surveillance system particularly for peace and order, public safety and disaster preparedness, we are committed to providing an integrated solution for video security, access control and critical communications,” company general manager Francis Dy said.

The Cebu-based firm on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, introduced the Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, which produces an AI-powered closed-circuit television camera (CCTV).

Dy said an integrated and efficient security system benefits businesses and government offices alike.

The need to build such system has become vital amid the continued expansion of Cebu’s business activity.

The company is looking to offer security technology as real-time surveillance becomes necessary for peace and order purposes, and for public safety and disaster preparedness.

“The most important thing is if they want to invest in any new technology, they should design it in such a way that the system is scaleable and it can be inter-operated with other devices,” Dy pointed out. “Cebu is a growing city so we have to prepare even if it’s generally peaceful because any disaster or emergency will not inform you ahead of time.”

North America-based Avigilon designs, develops and manufactures solutions in video analytics, cloud, security cameras, video management software, hardware and access control.

Its key technologies include an appearance search, unusual motion detection, focus of attention interface, high definition stream management, ultra-high resolution and self learning video analytics.

According to Dy, this technology can prevent crimes before they happen since it can track real-time movements and even fires as it responds immediately.

“You can notify and inform faster. If you can do it fast, you can save lives and prevent property damage. Even crime solving is faster,” he said.

Hello Marketing also conducted an AI-powered video surveillance technology awareness seminar in partnership with Motorola Solutions Company to business leaders and representatives of government agencies at the Golden Prince Hotel and Suites. (JOB)
