GAISANO-led Metro Retail Stores Group Inc. (MRSGI) opens today, April 8, 2022, its 62nd store nationwide— the Metro Supermarket Paseo Arcenas in Banawa, Cebu City.

The 2,668 square meter Metro Supermarket Paseo Arcenas allows shoppers to experience best-in-class shopping from freshest-of-the-fresh produce, meat, poultry and seafood to household supplies and its complete selection of international products.

The new store, which is the new anchor tenant of Paseo Arcenas, also features one-stop services and facilities such as an in-store bakery, food kiosks, automated teller machine, customer restrooms and ample parking space.

Manuel Alberto, president and chief operating officer of MRSGI, said the company is actively looking for new sites in the Visayas, especially in Cebu to expand its store network and solidify its footing in the retail supermarket scene.

“We are full of optimism for the future, especially now that the country’s economy recovery is in full swing,” said Alberto, adding that the robust expansion of the group’s supermarket segment is opening livelihood opportunities to more Filipinos. (KOC)
