THE People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Cebu Inc. has committed to support the growth of industries by providing them with the best pool of professional talents even amid these challenging times.

The group said it will continuously come up with better ways and strategies that will provide professionals the ability to cope, adapt and grow despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

These strategies will be unveiled in the upcoming PMAP-Cebu’s first virtual regional conference slated on Oct. 7 to 9, in celebration of the group’s 20th year.

PMAP is a professional organization renowned for its consistent thrust on the development and advancement in the practice of people management.

“While PMAP continues to uphold a strong belief in creating a sustainable and thriving manpower across all industries, it is of its best intention to remind all our greatest asset, human resource, that you have the power of clarity, self-mastery and letting go. It is about time for a Human Resource (HR) Unfrozen,” the group said in a statement.

“The pandemic, we all know, has brought about uncertainties and challenges beyond our imagination. We may, at some point, become frozen, locked up in the constraints of fear and solicitude of the unknown. However, we are a people of resilience backed up by our faith in God, passion for the work we do, and purpose for the life that we have,” it added.

PMAP-Cebu said it will encourage its members to embrace the new normal and extend their support to their employers as they reopen their businesses in an unfamiliar business environment.

“We are facing an exceptional pandemic. It may be distinctly unpredictable with its compelling effect to the majority. But it doesn’t mean we are helpless. As we try to understand and address issues attributed to this crisis, we aim to equip our managers, who are leaders in their own right, to become forerunners in igniting the power within each one of us,” the group stressed.

The virtual conference will feature relevant topics and highly capable resource speakers. (KOC with PR)
