FASHION designer Dexter Alazas and Anzani New Mediterranean Cuisine will hold a trunk show called “Hablon: A Directive Sustainable Community Work Weaving” as a tribute for moms this Mother’s Day. The trunk show will showcase ready-to-wear sale items of Alazas’ recent hablon collection as seen during the Manila Fashion Festival; with design consultancy ready for those who wish to make a purchase. Other items like scarves, ponchos, shoes, bags as well as ready-to-wear items from his retail line, Amano Craft Creations, will also be available.

Complementing the collaboration is Kate Dychangco-Anzani’s Mother’s Day menu specially prepared for the occasion. This collaboration started because of their shared interest in sustainable fashion.

“We want to celebrate women from all walks of life, and that patronizing our local weaves helps sustain local women weavers’ livelihood,” shared Alazas. “Kate and I, we are just mediums to help link all these possible connections together through fashion and the art of entertaining.”

The trunk show will take place May 12, 5 p.m. at Anzani New Mediterranean Cuisine located at Panorama Heights, Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City.
