The Recoletos celebrate their 400 years of presence in Cebu. Their mission to evangelize and educate has been extensively felt, and the Academe, like the then-Colegio de San Jose Recoletos, now the University of San Jose-Recoletos, and the other parishes and schools in the Philippines continue to imbibe the religious and educational teachings of St. Augustine.
