FAMILIES and friends got together to celebrate the Sinulog. The procession last Jan. 19 had some 1.5 million devotees braving the bad weather. The prayerful Cebuanos were again blessed. There were less participating contingents in Sunday’s mardi gras. I noticed less extravagant costumes and props but the revelry was still there.

Tony Veloso always celebrates his birthday within the Sinulog week. So, we were all at Casino Español de Cebu to hail Tony’s 89th celebration of life. The We Care family enlivened the event with songs and chatter. Topics shifted from travel to food; less politics but some spills on the recent Pacquiao bout.
