Help is on the way: ‘The Rovers’

Jenara Regis Newman

In 2018, a group of friends came together after sharing a common interest of helping others during emergencies. The next year, they incorporated themselves as Rescue Operation Volunteers and Emergency Responders Corp. (Rover), hence, they call themselves “Rovers.”

The Rovers come from diverse backgrounds. The president, John Carl G. Nguho, is a registered nurse. The vice-president, Justin Ianne P. Abella, is a mechanical engineer.

The other officers are Angela May Y. Cabanilla, secretary; Caesar Noel E. Salvan, treasurer; Ronald C. Arinas, auditor; and Sharee Mae B. Brizo, public relations officer.

The people in leadership and all the other members (some of whom are Red Cross volunteers) are all “committed to deliver the highest level of professional help, selfless service, and balance between volunteerism, career, and family life.”
