IKEA promotes online store in Cebu, offers 50 percent off on truck delivery

CEBUANOS can now enjoy having access to some of the world’s finest furniture by shopping via IKEA’s online store, IKEA.ph.

IKEA launched its “Scan and Shop” event at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu on Oct. 19, setting up a display of its select home furnishing inspirations via an interactive installation. In typical IKEA fashion, mall-goers are encouraged to roam around, take their time and immerse themselves in the IKEA experience.

During the limited-time event, mall-goers are offered a 50 percent discount on truck delivery until Oct. 31 when they shop online. The mall display will be up until Oct. 23, Sunday.

IKEA—founded in 1943—is a Swedish retail furniture company that has transformed itself from a mail order catalogue business and into a global home furnishing brand. Its furniture are known for their design, aesthetic and careful attention to detail. More importantly, the items are affordable, propelling the brand into a household name around the world as it currently has 466 IKEA stores operating in 63 countries.

IKEA recently opened its biggest store in the Philippines in November 2021 — boasting a 730,000 square foot facility — specifically in Pasay City, Metro Manila.
