Kekert: 14th CGM Tournament

Kristalle Kekert

TEEING off at its 14th year, the Jose “Cheling” Garcia Memorial (CGM) Golf Tournament hosted by the JEG Development Corp. (JDC) and held at the Cebu Country Club was attended by 214 players who faced the real contest at this annual golfing event.

This year’s tournament beneficiary was Dominus Pascit Me Foundation Inc. (DPMFI) with its proceeds going to the JEG Theology Scholarship Fund of DPMFI, a program that supports young men and women in their formation for priesthood and/or religious life. The event sponsors were business partners and associates as well as a Vivant Corp. subsidiary, namely COREnergy.

At the awarding ceremony, raffle prizes included a range of Oakley products, flip flops from Havaianas, golf items from RedGolf, bikes from Bambikes Revolution Cycles and more! The aim for the competition was to encourage the pleasure and enthusiasm for golf that Cheling had savored as well as to foster in its participants generosity, camaraderie and social responsibility through the sport. Congratulations for yet another successful event!
