Mega celebrations

Mila C. Espina

ENTERPRISING families have become part of Cebu’s progress. Their fruitful initiatives are entrenched in our lifestyle.

I have been aware of the success of International Pharmaceutical Inc. (IPI) for over 60 years of passion for wellness. The late Sixto Castillo (namesake of my father), was a dear family friend. Dennis Ong was my colleague in the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) for many years. The IPI products are household names; very affordable and effective.

I am forever grateful to IPI who has always been a sponsor in many of my socio-civic projects. Yes, just a text away! As long as it is community-based, IPI would always give you the best high-tech assistance. The Zonta Club of Cebu 1; We Care Foundation; Philippines Foundation; CCCI Tourism and Grand Chamber Committees; University of San Jose-Recoletos and Speechcom; the Amparito Llamas Lhuillier Educational Foundation; Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko and Punla Inc. congratulate IPI on its six decades of entrepreneurial and community involvement in Cebu. You are a company with a heart and conscience.

The Cokaliong legacy

The heart and mind of the Cokaliong family, Ama Gregoria, celebrated her 83rd birthday with her family, friends and business peers. My friend Aida Uy, was there and thought that the glorious celebration was truly awesome. I had brief glimpses of the Grand Lady’s penchant for education through her grandchildren, who showed their competitiveness to achieve in their Speechcom learning activities, especially in spelling and vocabulary.
