The Grand Chamber Awards

IMPRESSIVE and colorful best describe this year’s Grand Chamber Awards of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) headed by president Antonio Chiu, honorary consul of the Slovak Republic. It was the culmination activity of CCCI’s Cebu Business Month chaired by the dynamic Benedict Que, president of the Golden Prince Hotel, held at the Oakridge Pavilion.

The awardees included “Entrepreneur of the Year” Mario King, president and chief executive officer of Nito’s International Ventures; “Most Inspiring Woman Entrepreneur” Fe Barino, vice chairperson of the Duros Group of Companies; “Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year” Alfred Dy Relucio, chief executive officer of Cebu Iron Foundry Corp.; “Innovative Entrepreneur” Chester Lim, vice president for admin of Belmont Hardware Depot; “Socially Responsible Entrepreneur” Paulette Liu, chief operating officer of Primary Structures Educational Foundation Inc.; and “Countryside Entrepreneur of the Year” Ma. Elena Limocon, general manager of Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative. CCCI also honored Go Negosyo (represented by Jay Yuvallos) with the “Business Enabler” citation.

The evening’s entertainment came from the El Gamma Penumbra group, the grand champion of the first season of TV show “Asia’s Got Talent,” who presented an awesome shadow play. Indeed, CCCI’s Grand Chamber Awards was one grand celebration!
