ONE minor died while three were wounded after two motorcycles collided in Ayala Heights, Pung-ol, Sibugay last Saturday evening.

PO2 Paul Traya of the Traffic Patrol Group (TPG) said that both motorcycles were driven by minors.

“They were traveling in separate directions and collided head-on. Because of the force of the impact, the driver of the other motorcycle died while the others sustained injuries,” Traya said.

Traya identified the victim as Cliff Incontro, 12, who succumbed to serious injuries in the different parts of his bodies.

His rider was a 16-year-old girl, who was rushed together with two other minors, aged 16 and 18, from the other motorcycle to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) in Cebu City for treatment.

One of the motorcycles was bound for Sirao Flower Garden, while the other was for Pung-ol, Sibugay.

Traya said that both drivers did not have any license.

“They shouldn’t drive without knowing the rules of the road. We also advice the parents and guardians to keep an eye on their child especially if you own a motorcycle,” Traya said.

Traya said that Incontro’s grandmother told them that she tried to stop the minor from driving but Incontro still drove the motorcycle. JOB
