A TOTAL of 13 police personnel from the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) face suspension for sleeping and abandoning their designated posts during their duty hours.

CPPO Director Police Col. Manuel Javier Abrugena told SunStar Cebu that this move is in line with their internal cleansing campaign.

The suspended cops came from the Personal Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) and police stations including Alcoy, Boljoon, Ginatilan, Consolacion and Compostela.

The suspension ranges from one to five days, and this will bar them from enjoying the allowance and bonus due to a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) he said.

Abrugena then reminded all the police to perform their duties well and warned those engaged in illegal activities to stop or be caught by the law. (WBS)
