2 company drivers nabbed during Liloan buy-bust

A 39-YEAR-OLD company driver and his cohort were arrested for allegedly peddling drugs in Barangay Poblacion in the northern town of Liloan, Cebu on Saturday morning, August 13, 2022.

Master Sergeant Kenneth Perocho, investigator of the Liloan Police Station, identified the suspects as Alvin Viageador, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, and Wilfredo Bibanco, his fellow driver from Barangay Yati.

Police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas, found the two men in Viageador’s house.

They recovered six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, P500 marked money, P500 cash believed to be drug proceeds and drug paraphernalia.

Confiscated from the suspects were an estimated 10 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P68,000.

The suspects allegedly sold illegal drugs to their workmates and could dispose of 10 grams of shabu a week.

Viageador and Bibanco will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (GDC)
