2 dead in separate incidents in Cebu City

TWO men were killed by unidentified assailants in separate incidents in Cebu City earlier today, April 12.

Roland De Asis Egdamen, 42, was taking his passenger on his habal-habal from Bayanihan Village in Barangay Basak-Pardo when two unidentified men suddenly shot him multiple times upon arriving in Sitio Mayupay, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City at around 1:20 a.m. today.

Egdamen, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the back of his neck and head, died on the spot.

Egdamen's last passenger told investigators that two men on foot suddenly approach them as they were passing by the said area.

Police have yet to determine a motive behind the shooting.

An hour later, a 38-year-old man was found dead by police in Sitio Lower Carreta, Barangay Carreta in Cebu City.

The victim, Reynard Escalla, sustained several stab wounds of his body which caused his untimely death.

Responding police officers are still conducting a follow-up investigation to find out why Escalla was murdered and who was behind it. (AYB)
