AT LEAST three persons were wounded after a motorcycle driven by a man who was allegedly under the influence of liquor plowed into them while they were standing along the roadside on Rabaya Street, Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, Cebu at 3 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

Police Staff Carlos Dicdican of Talisay City Police Station said victims Jhun Khenette Lisondra, Jamero Jenjen Caballes, 41, and Kaith Icely Angeles, 22, of Sitio Kimba, Barangay Cansojong, Talisay, were standing on the side of the road when the motorcycle driver, identified as Jose Ruel Mingoy, from Barangay Cambaro, Mandaue City, lost balance of his vehicle and hit them instead.

The victims were brought to the hospital for treatment, while Mingoy was taken to the police station for questioning.

Police believed that the motorcycle driver was intoxicated during the incident as he was reeking of liquor.

Mingoy will be facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple physical injuries if the victims would file a case against him. (BBT, TPT)
