3 netted in Mambaling drug bust

AT LEAST three persons were arrested in a drug bust in Sitio Ibabao Proper, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

The operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA 7) nabbed tricycle driver Manuel Panonce, 30, reportedly the owner of the drug den, and two others Jason Salandron, 25, and Nicolas Panonce 44, both from Mambaling, who were caught having a pot session.

Seized were 10 packs of alleged shabu worth around P68,000, buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia.

Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA 7, said they conducted the raid after receiving reports about the illegal drug activity of Panonce.

Alcantara said that prior to the raid, they monitored the suspect for three days when they learned that the latter can dispose at least 50 grams of shabu in a week.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (AYB, TPT)
