34 Chinese nationals in sex trade rescued

THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) 7 has filed a case of qualified trafficking of persons against four female Chinese nationals accused of pimping their fellow female Chinese nationals.

Zeng Dan, Quan Yiquing, Xiuzhu Wei and Xiushen Wei were accused of violating Republic Act 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003) in relation to RA 10364 or the “Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012.”

The filing Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, comes after the NBI rescued last Friday, 34 female Chinese nationals allegedly sold for sex inside a bar, the Royal One KTV located in the compound of Tourist Golden Hotel, in Barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. (JOB)
