AN ASIAN utility vehicle (AUV) collided with an ambulance after its driver allegedly fell asleep on the wheel in Campo 5, Barangay Manipis, Talisay City past 5 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Patrolman Earl Danford Ignacio, traffic investigator of the Talisay City Police Station, identified the driver of the Toyota Avanza as Harold Sequiño, a 26-year-old resident of Sitio Lahing-Lahing, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Ignacio said the ambulance was driven by Renante Pamilar, a 55-year-old resident of Barangay Don Andres Soriano, Toledo City.

He said Pamilar noticed the AUV going in his direction and tried to avoid it, but it was too late.

Ignacio said Pamilar, who suffered minor injuries, was on his way to Cebu City to pick up a patient while Sequiño was headed to Toledo City.

He said both drivers decided to settle the matter amicably. (BBT, TPT)
