Boy, 17, shot dead in Mandaue

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was shot dead by unidentified assailants on G. Ouano St., Barangay Opao, Mandaue City yesterday dawn.

The boy succumbed to gunshot wounds in his heart. The attack happened at 1:20 a.m.

Based on their initial investigation, Senior Insp. James Conaco of Police Station 5 said that the boy was killed while playing with his friends.

Conaco said two men on a motorcycle arrived in the area and shot the boy. The culprits fled after the attack.

Police are looking into personal grudge or gang war as motives behind the crime. The boy was allegedly a member of Akhro. (JPP OF Superbalita Cebu)
