Brgy. councilor in Bohol suspected to be ‘gun runner, rebel group supporter’ arrested

A BARANGAY councilor and allegedly the leader of a criminal gang engaged in gun-running activities in Bohol was apprehended by enforcement agencies early Friday morning, June 25, 2021.

Carmilo Tabada, 51, councilor of Barangay Poblacion in Trinidad town, Bohol, was arrested when enforcement agencies served a search warrant issued by Judge Azucena Macalolot-Credo of the Regional Trial Court-Talibon on June 21, 2021.

One .45-caliber pistol and its live ammunition, one grenade, and subversive documents were confiscated from his house during the search.
