Cebu City Covid cases climb to 5,989

THE Cebu City Health Department has recorded 96 patients who recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), 167 new infections and nine fatalities on July 4, 2020.

The new cases recorded are from Barangays Apas (3); Bacayan (2); Basak Pardo (2); Basak San Nicolas (10); Bo. Luz (2); Budlaan (1); Buhisan (2); Bulacao (2); Busay (1); Calamba (1); Cambinocot (1); Camputhaw (2); Capitol Site (19); Carreta (1); Cogon Pardo (2); Cogon Ramos (2); Duljo (2); Guadalupe (12); Hipodromo (2); Inayawan (2); Kalunasan (9); Kasambagan (3); Labangon (4); Lahug (19); Lorega (2); Mabolo (1); Mambaling (2); Pahina (1); Pardo (5); Parian (1); Punta Princesa (7); Quiot (4); Sambag I (1); Sambag II (2); San Nicolas Proper (5); Sapangdaku (1); Talamban (6); Tejero (3); Tisa (9); Zapatera (5); and other six new cases with unverified address yet.

The new deaths recorded were from Barangays Camputhaw, Duljo, Kasambagan, Lahug, Mabolo and Punta Princesa with one each, while Quiot had three fatalities.

The CHD has also recorded new laboratory-negative or recoveries from Barangays Apas (2); Bacayan (1); Basak San Nicolas (12); Budlaan (1); Camputhaw (13); Capitol Site (7); Cogon Pardo (2); Day-as (17); Guadalupe (1); Hipodromo (1); Lahug (20); Quiot (1); Sambag I (2); Sambag II (12); Talamban (2); and T. Padilla (2).

Cebu City now has a total of 5,989 Covid-19 positive patients, 3,142 recoveries and 220 deaths.

Active cases in the city are at 2,627.

The CHD has extracted two cases from the total tally after verifying that the same people were logged twice. (JJL)
