THE Department of Health-Central Visayas allocated 188 more vials of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines for Cebu City, said Cebu City Health Department (CHD) officer-in-charge Jeffrey Ibones.

This is on top of the 1,600 doses of AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccines allocated for Cebu City. These AZ shots are intended for barangay health workers and nurses and doctors working in private clinics.

In an interview on Thursday, March 25, 2021, Ibones said only 120 doses of AZ were left, which will be used to inoculate around 100 CHD personnel who have yet to receive the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine as they help in the vaccination rollout.
