THE Cebu Port Authority (CPA), on Sunday, August 1, 2021, announced that with the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine in the tri-cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu Lapu, all Cebu City inbound and outbound passenger trips are temporarily suspended until August 15.

The CPA, however, said all Cebu City port terminals are open for essential travel only as long as travelers of essential reasons comply with all necessary requirements.

Essential travelers include those returning or repatriated overseas Filipino workers and other overseas Filipinos returning to their places of residence and those authorized persons outside of residence (Apor).

By Apor, the CPA means health and emergency frontline services personnel, government officials and government frontline personnel, persons traveling for medical reasons and those going to the airport for travel abroad.

The CPA assured that Cebu port terminals will remain fully operational to ensure that there will be no hampered movements of cargo, basic and essential goods and other necessities. (WBS)
