AIRLINE companies Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines (PAL) have cancelled some of their flights to and from Hong Kong due to the ongoing protest actions at the Hong Kong International Airport.

The cancelled flights include the following:

Cebu Pacific

* 5J 114 (Manila-Hong Kong) ETD 6:05 p.m.

* 5J 115 (Hong Kong-Manila) ETD 10:05 p.m.

* 5J 120 (Clark-Hong Kong) ETD 7:20 p.m.

* 5J 121 (Hong Kong-Clark) ETD 10:30 p.m.

Philippine Airlines

* PR 310 (Manila-Hong Kong) ETD 7 p.m. / ETA 9:25 p.m.

* PR 311 (Hong Kong-Manila) ETD 10:25 p.m. / ETA 12:25 p.m.PM

* PR 312 (Manila-Hong Kong) ETD 9:10 p.m. / ETA 11:35 p.m.

* PR 313 (Hong Kong-Manila), departing August 13 Tuesday ETD 8:05 a.m.

"Passengers booked on these flights are being notified. They may avail of options, free of charge, which include rebooking to a later travel date, a full refund, or placing the cost of the ticket in a travel fund for future use," said Cebu Pacific in its 4:30 p.m. Monday advisory posted on Facebook.

It advised the affected passengers to manage bookings via the "Manage Booking" portal in its website at book.cebupacificair.com/Mobile/Manage/Retrieve.

PAL, on the other hand, advised its passengers to check the status of their flights via philippineairlines.com or by calling Reservations Hotline at (+632) 855 - 8888.

"We will do our best to assist all our passengers. For any concerns, you may message the official Cebu Pacific Air accounts via Facebook or Twitter," said Cebu Pacific.

The Hong Kong International Airport has cancelled all remaining flights for the day (August 12) after thousands of pro-democracy protesters crowded into the main terminal.

It said the demonstration "seriously disrupted" airport operations.

Hong Kong has experienced more than two months of mass protests calling for democratic reforms and an independent inquiry into police conduct.

The protest movement's demands also include the resignation of the Chinese territory's leader and an election for her successor.
