Fire hits Guizo market

AT LEAST seven stalls in a market in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City were razed by a fire that broke out Tuesday dawn, January 21, 2020.

Fire Inspector Kyle Lauzon, deputy fire marshal of Mandaue City Fire Station, said the fire started at 4:34 a.m. A security guard of a fast food located near Maguikay flyover reported the incident.

Based on initial investigation, the fire reportedly occurred at a store owned by a certain Socorro Apare.

Lauzon added a resident identified as Sabiniano Bañagaso, 55 years old, was injured.

The fire was raised to second alarm at 4:45 a.m. and was declared fire out at 5:27 a.m.

Investigation is still on going to determine what caused the blaze. (KFD)
