A TEN-YEAR-OLD girl, believed to have been sexually assaulted, was found dead in Talisay City, Cebu Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022.

Kiara Mae Namanama was found by the city’s police and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office personnel three days after her parents had reported her missing, Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas Jr. said in a Facebook post on Sunday night.

“Our local police believe that she may have been raped by more than one person before she was murdered,” Gullas said in his post.

The mayor has ordered police chief Lt. Col. Randy Caballes to conduct a manhunt to bring to justice those behind Kiara’s abduction and murder. / CTL
