WARM hugs and loud cheers welcomed the Ironman athletes and other guests Friday, August 9, as they start arriving in Mactan-Cebu International Airport for the Regent Aguila Ironman 70.3 Philippines on August 11 in Lapu-Lapu City.

“Our Iron huggers are here to welcome the Ironman participants and give them a good impression of Cebu’s well-known warm hospitality,” said Giovanni Ruiz, GMCAC branding manager.

Aside from the warm airport welcome, GMCAC is also working closely with all airport stakeholders to provide a safe, convenient, and efficient airport experience for the Ironman athletes and other guests.

"There are reception desks arranged at the Arrivals Area in Terminal 1 and 2 to welcome the delegates, a designated Immigration lane for shorter queues, a dedicated holding area for bicycles and other equipment, and our customer service executives are ready to assist passengers arriving in Cebu for the Ironman," Ruiz said.
