Jealousy drives wife to hack senior citizen husband

A MALE senior citizen was wounded after he was hacked by his wife due to jealousy.

The incident happened in Barangay Lawaan 1, Talisay City on November 30, 2022.

The victim was identified only as Rene (real name withheld), 60, while the wife was 56-year-old Emelda (real name withheld), residents of Talisay City.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Randy Caballes, chief of the Talisay City Police Station, said the wife told the police that her husband has a relationship with their neighbor, prompting her to hack the victim.

The victim was hit in the legs.

Caballes said a case for “slight physical injury” was filed against the suspect, stressing that the wife had beaten her husband several times.

The victim also allegedly sustained a wound in the face due to a hacking incident that happened months ago. (BBT/LMY)
