MORE than 150 children from Lapu-Lapu City benefited from the outreach program initiated by the Lapu-Lapu City College (LLCC) last March 30.

Children from Sitio Kalabasa, Barangay Gun-ob, enjoyed fun-filled games and activities, including storytelling.

Graduating students of LLCC assisted the children throughout the program. They also participated in games to win prizes for the kids.

“The community extension services office implements the community development and outreach programs that are geared toward empowering communities especially the marginalized sectors of Lapu-Lapu City,” said LLCC Community Extension head Ivan Jane Macias.

The program carrying the theme, “Turning Passion To Mission,” concluded with the distribution of food packs and gifts.

“I feel happy and proud of myself and my co-graduating students for this fulfilling experience,” Prichelle Lanie Impas said.

She is a member of the outreach program committee.

According to Macias, their program is real service, which can’t be bought or measured by money. (Ana Leovylia Alcoriza/PR)
